T H E O R Y’s Glycolic Acid is produced through a special enzymatic process requiring less energy, in production, and resulting in Glycolic Acid that is formaldehyde-free and formic acid-free. As a standard industry practice, Glycolic Acid is produced through a chemical process, resulting in co-products of Formaldehyde, and Formic Acid is present in the final product.

In June 2011 Formaldehyde was added to the US National Institute of Health’s list of known or suspected carcinogens.
ALL our Glycolic Acid products contain NO Formaldehyde or Formic Acid.

Why use a Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid blend?
Our one-step pads are great for the treatment of acne-causing clogged pores without the use of harsh chemicals. Each pad is infused with glycolic acid and alpha-hydroxy acid, which has been proven to correct discoloration and dark spots on the skin while reversing sun damage with every use.

Glycolic Acid is known to reach under the dead skin cells laying on top of our skin and loosen the “glue” type substance that holds those cells to our skin. This action causes the cells to turnover and improves the appearance and texture of the skin.
In combination with the Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid works synergistically and helps in the absorption of other skin products.

Formulated to be 5% Glycolic Acid and 2% Salicylic Acid and come 50 pads per jar.
